Utah knows how to show up for Halloween! There are so many Halloween activities and dates unique to Utah that you do not want to miss out on. Some day I hope to hit every single one on this list!
Have you decorated for Halloween yet? I searched through the boxes still unpacked in our house to find some Halloween decorations a few days ago. My 2 ½ year old was so excited! She exclaimed “YAY IT’S HALLOWEEN! WE GET COSTUMES AND GO TRICK OR TREATING!” Let’s just say it didn’t go over incredibly well when I explained we wouldn’t be trick or treating for another month and also, that we don’t have any costumes that fit her at the moment and we need to figure that out.
My toddler has always loved Halloween. The neighborhood we used to live in was known for their skeleton graveyard. It was absolutely incredible what they did to their yard every year and we would drive the neighborhood a few times a week, always ending in front of that house. It started Harley’s love for skeletons at a very young age. Maybe someday we will get some big skeletons for our yard.
Utah has so many amazing dates and family activities to do to celebrate Halloween. Some are more expensive than others but all are guaranteed for some Halloween fun!

Let me tell you a little secret… I’ve never actually been to Frightmares! The summer we were engaged, Collin and I had season passes to Halloween. I knew it was finally my year to go to Frightmares. So when October rolled around, we headed to Lagoon for an awesome and spooky night only to realize the lines were longer than I’d ever seen them for all the Halloween attractions! We ended up going on all the other rides because there was literally nobody in any of the lines! Maybe I shouldn’t have told that story here… but I’ll admit I still want to go to Frightmares and kind of wish we would have just stood in the lines that night. We have friends who make sure to go every year and absolutely love it! Click here to get your tickets.
They have a “Time Warp Fast Pass” allowing you to skip the lines ($25-$30 depending on the day you go).
